I couldn’t get that bitch of a baby mama out of my head. My life hadn’t ever been filled with as much drama as it was now. I don’t know who to blame. I wanted to blame Marquis, but he had told her how he felt time and time again and she wasn’t letting up. If I chose to leave, it would be my own decision, not hers. After we made it to his house, he went and laid Nicole down in the spare room that I figured was hers. I heard the movie ‘Tangled’ come on and knew where she would be for a while.
“What’s up ma, why you looking like you got all kind of shit on your mind?” he asked me, breaking my thoughts.
“Did you know Toya told Nicole that Miracle and I were bad people?”
He instantly frowned up and I knew he wasn’t feeling it. “Nah, I didn’t know. Look, don’t let her come in between what could be good; we are dating and I’m feeling the shit. She is going to continue coming around now because she see you’re not going anywhere so easily. The other girls I fucked with ran as soon as she approached their asses. I have mad respect for you because you aren’t letting her control what we have right here. I love that,” he told me. The sincerity in his eyes told me that he was telling the truth. I said no words, instead, I leaned over and gave him the sloppiest kiss I could muster.
“I’m not going anywhere until I’M ready,” I told him, keeping it real. I don’t intimidate easily and I don’t want anyone thinking they scared me. Cause it wasn’t nothing.
“Good because you’re not going to be ready anytime soon,” he told me back. We cuddled until Nicole eventually came out of the room. She looked at us before she climbed on the chair with us.
“I like her daddy,” she told Quis. We both smiled but said nothing. I could honestly see myself with this man for a while. He accepted me, now his daughter did too. After a while, they both fell asleep; my mind was clouded and the only way I could ease my mind was to fire up some weed. But, instead of doing that, I started cleaning. I wouldn’t dare disrespect his daughter in any way, shape, or form. I got up and started cleaning his kitchen. Wasn’t much to clean, so I wiped down the counters and started mopping. I didn’t mind cleaning at all. So, it made me wonder why my parents had a maid. Our house stayed clean and they were barely home to make a mess, so I didn’t understand. I shrugged my shoulders and continued.
By the time I was done, they were still asleep, so I got back in the bed and fell asleep with them, only to be woken up by his kisses. I opened my eyes and smiled at him. He got up and took her back in her room and came back into his.
